There are numerous people from all over west central Alabama who have allowed us to enhance the smiles they brought to our office! We use numerous techniques, all accomplished quickly and comfortably, to create dream smiles, or merely to help maintain the teeth people wear into our office. We want you to have what you want.
We know that total dental health is dependent upon sound teeth, healthy bone and gum tissues, and the manner in which the teeth come together. We strive to eliminate problems and diseases in all of these areas, and to stress effective home care to ensure your healthy dental future. With your cooperation we can more effectively treat dental problems if and when they arise, and prevent these problems to a greater extent than ever before possible. We are proud of our reputation for spending time with our patients, ensuring that their care is delivered with the greatest degree of gentility and genuine compassion possible. For your comfort, we offer nitrous oxide, CD players with headphones, and electronic chair massagers in each treatment room. Feel free to take advantage of any or all of these at each appointment. We are pleased to provide the following dental services:
Here's a very recent case where we were presented with simple misalignments and proportion problems.
After ensuring that this patient's mouth was clean and healthy, we gave her nine porcelain veneers fabricated by DaVinci Studios. This patient is a friend of ours, and no one deserves more than her to be able to give everyone around her a smile that matches her spirit.
Here's a miniature morph of what we accomplished above.
Here, we simply fixed the alignment of her front four teeth, making sure to match her other natural teeth.
Looking much better.....
And here, with the benefit of beautifully framing lips, the finished case.
In this case, the patient desired some spacing and shape changes for her front teeth.
Veneers on just the four front teeth took care of the problem. Pre-treatment tooth whitening also improved the color of all the teeth.
A side view demonstrates the spacing problem more clearly.
The spaces are closed with Davinci porcelain veneers. Note that the texture of the new veneers even matches that of the lowers.
A pre-operative smile.......
..........and the post-treatment results, achieved in under three weeks.
Here's a small morph of what we accomplished above.
A good friend of ours whose worn teeth did nothing to make him look younger.
Here, we gave new life to ten upper teeth. They are brighter, longer, look extremely natural, and were very conservative restorations.
Worn and dull....
Longer, brighter, and natural.
In this work in progress, we simply wanted to improve the color and shape of the teeth while closing large spaces.
Here's a recent and unfinished case where the upper remaining teeth were made healthier and then crowned with porcelain. Remember it's a work in progress...
Porcelain in place....
More of a side view....
Note the healthier gum tissues and improved color, texture, and alignment of the new upper teeth. There's obviously more work to do here, but we're off to a beautiful start, and this patient can smile much bigger already.
Orthodontics, or braces, are always our first recommendation for correcting tooth misalignment, but in this case, we helped a gentleman achieve this change in less than two months, rather than two years.
When dentures are necessary, the best way to ensure their stability is to utilize dental implants. Placed by one of our local oral surgeons, these implants can be used in a number of ways to support both removable and "fixed" replacements for your teeth. In this case, six upper and four lower implants were placed, metal bars were designed for and attached to them, and dentures were made to literally "snap" onto the bars. These dentures will not move and the implants that support them stimulate the supporting bone and keep it from resorbing away over the years.
Here is a simple example of what we can do to change the appearance of amalgam (silver) fillings. They tend to get darker with age and can taint the tooth color with gray or black.
Tooth-colored fillings look natural and don't draw attention to teeth that have required treatment. This look can be accomplished with composite or porcelain. We can help you decide which material would function and look best for you.
